Stress to Strength: Mental Health & Exercise

Barpath Fitness Season 1 Episode 183

In this week's episode of the podcast, we discuss the relationship between mental health and exercise. Exercise produces endorphins and serotonin, which are “feel good” hormones and neurotransmitters in the brain. Working out also releases cortisol from the system, which reduces stress and helps with depression and anxiety. We go over the laundry list of benefits that individuals experience when they exercise. We also discuss what to do when you’re not feeling up for working out or you don’t have time.

In this episode, we discuss:

  • Exercise & Mental Health: How Do These Two Work Together?
  • How Does Exercise Relieve Stress?
  • Exercising For Mental Health
  • Exercises For Mental Health
  • How To Be More Active When You Don't Feel Up To It
  • Get Up and Move to Improve Mental Health
