On today’s episode of the podcast, we talk about the difference between dieting and eating healthy. We wanted to discuss this topic because there is confusion between what healthy eating and dieting are, and wanted to break down the pros and cons of both. This episode highlights how to create a healthy mindset around what you’re eating. We discuss how healthy eating is simply eating foods that nourish your body with longevity in mind. Eating healthy incorporates mostly whole, natural foods that typically have a single ingredient. We go over how to create habits around eating healthy and share some tools that to help. Diet is based on short term eating changes with an expected outcome that can create a poor relationship with food that often lacks awareness for the robust amount of nutrients needed to fuel the body. We discuss other pitfalls with dieting, including how restrictive and unsustainable they are.
